Is connecting LinkedIn to Privly safe?

How Privly handles LinkedIn connections, activity limits, and account warnings.

Updated October 31, 2026

The short answer

Privly includes controls to limit LinkedIn activity, pace outreach, and stop automatic activity when an account needs attention. Connecting your account does not launch a campaign; you review and launch campaigns separately.

These controls reduce avoidable activity risks, but no third-party tool can guarantee that LinkedIn will never restrict an account. LinkedIn prohibits unauthorized automation and scraping. Review its rules before connecting and deciding which features to use.

LinkedIn: automated activity policy

How Privly manages activity

  • Account-based limits: Privly checks daily and weekly sending limits, discovery budgets, and account health before starting covered actions. Limits are shared for the same connected LinkedIn account across Privly workspaces.

  • Gradual warm-up: your account age, recent activity, warning history, and verified LinkedIn subscription help determine the starting pace. Newer or less active accounts start more gradually.

  • Scheduled activity: working days, hours, timezone, and sending delays spread actions across your selected schedule.

  • Warning handling: verification requests, disconnections, and provider pauses can stop automatic activity until the account is ready again.

  • Sender access: members need permission to send through a connected account. Workspace membership alone does not grant access to another person's sender.

Protect your sign-in

Start the connection from Privly. If you choose hosted sign-in, enter your LinkedIn credentials on the provider-hosted connection page powered by Unipile, rather than in Privly's own forms.

Never send your LinkedIn password, session cookies, or verification codes to support or include them in screenshots. Connecting authorizes Privly to use the account for the features you choose; it does not make Privly an official LinkedIn integration.

Stay in control

  1. 1

Open Settings, then LinkedIn account, and check the connected identity and account status.

  2. 2

Open Account activity to review your limits and answer the account-history questions accurately, including recent warnings outside Privly.

  3. 3

Choose working hours and conservative sending limits. Account for manual LinkedIn activity and other tools: Privly's counters do not include those actions.

  4. 4

Review campaign audiences and messages before launch. Pause campaigns or account activity when you need to stop new actions, or use Disconnect in LinkedIn account settings to remove the connection.

If LinkedIn shows a warning

Pause activity and follow LinkedIn's verification or recovery instructions. Do not raise limits or repeatedly reconnect to work around a restriction. Reconnecting does not erase Privly's recorded usage or warning history.

If you need help, email [email protected] with the warning text and the step that failed. Leave passwords, session details, and verification codes out of your message.
